KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (August 9, 2017) –
Today the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) presented a cheque to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region in the amount of $ 31,556.97
The funds were raised through the KWAR’s 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament that was held at Rebel Creek Golf Club on Tuesday June 27th, 2017.
“This year’s tournament was our most successful ever in terms of funds raised and REALTOR® engagement,” said KWAR president James Craig. “As REALTORS® we are very proud to support Habitat for Humanity in their mission of building affordable housing and promoting home ownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty.”
139 golfers participated in the tournament, along with the support of many sponsors.
“Without the generous support of our many sponsors and volunteers, this would not have been possible,” says Craig. “We had many sponsors return back this year, and we’re delighted to have had some new sponsors on board for this tournament”.
